General Manager Andy Buxton reached a special milestone on Monday with his 100th game in charge of Great Britain.

Buxton’s 100th cap came on the night GB beat Romania 2-1 in overtime to make it two wins from two at the World Championship Division I Group A in Sfântu Gheorghe.

He first took up the role in 2007 in Ljubljana, Slovenia and has been GM ever since, apart from a short stint between 2012 and 2013.

Buxton was part of GB’s gold medal-winning campaigns in Belfast (2017), Hungary (2018) and Nottingham (2023), as well as winning three silver and one bronze medal.

He also led GB at four top-level World Championship tournaments in Slovakia (2019), Latvia (2021), Finland (2022) and Czechia (2024).

Congratulations to Andy on a fantastic achievement!
