Great Britain netminder Ben Bowns wins his 75th cap in today’s game with Denmark in the World Championship at the O2 Arena in Prague.
Bowns becomes the 14th player to reach the 75-cap milestone and the second netminder after Stevie Lyle.
A short ceremony took place in the dressing room before the game with a speech by General Manager Andy Buxton, while Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French presented the cap.
The 33-year-old made his debut in Riga in the Olympic Qualifiers in February 2013 and his first World Championship appearance followed two months later in Budapest in the World Championship Division I Group A.
Bowns is second in the all-time appearances for GB netminders behind Lyle who has 82 caps.
GB face Denmark today for their fourth game at the World Championship. Face-off is 16:20 (15:20 UK time).
