Great Britain Under-20s completed a two-day camp at Ice Sheffield this week.
It’s the start of the selection process for the Men’s U20 World Championship, which takes place in Dumfries later this year.
GB will be joined by Lithuania, Netherlands and Spain, along with promoted China and relegated Korea for the six-team tournament from 11th to 17th December 2023.
Over 30 players were in attendance at this week’s camp including a handful of young prospects who are still eligible for the under-18s this season.
There were two on-ice practices each day including specialist goalie development coaching, while there were also classroom-based sessions.
Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “It was superb to get together for the first time as we start our plans for Dumfries.
“It was a very competitive two days and all these players have the same end goal – and the coaches were pleased with the application we saw on and off the ice.
“It was great to see so many young prospects at the camp. It’s certainly going to be a very competitive process when we name the final roster later in the year.”
A combined two-day under-20s, under-18s and under-16s camp will now take place in July as preparations continue for the upcoming season.
