Great Britain took to the ice today for the first time at the Sparekassen Danmark Isarena in Aalborg ahead of this weekend’s Final Olympic Qualifiers.

GB begin their campaign on Thursday as they face hosts Denmark at 19:30 (18:30 BST).

The rink in Aalborg is a modern-looking arena with space for 5,000 spectators, divided into 1,800 standing and 3,200 seated, of which 1,600 are on the balcony upper level.

The GB team arrived in Denmark yesterday after the pre-tournament training camp which included games against Cardiff Devils and Belfast Giants.

GB reached this stage after three wins from three in the pre-qualification round in Cardiff in February as they beat China (10-1), Serbia (11-0) and Romania (7-4).

All of GB’s games will be shown live on Premier Sports with commentary from Olympic commentator Aaron Murphy and former GB forward Paul Adey.
