Great Britain play their second game at the Final Olympic Qualifiers in Aalborg as they face Norway in the Sparekassen Danmark Isarena at 15:30 (14:30 BST).

GB produced an heroic performance yesterday in a gutsy 3-1 defeat by hosts Denmark who are ranked 11th in the world.

Norway began their tournament campaign with a 4-2 victory over Japan.

Team News
It’s a very special day for Mark Richardson who becomes GB’s all-time leader in appearances as he moves onto 117 caps.

The defenceman moves one ahead of forward Jonathan Phillips who retired from international ice hockey with 116 caps.

GB have no injury worries to report and expect to ice a full 22-man matchday squad this afternoon.

Last Time We Met
The two sides met at the World Championship in Prague back in May when Norway skated to a 5-2 victory.

Brett Perlini and Ollie Betteridge were GB’s goalscorers.

GB and Norway also went head-to-head at the 2022 World Championship in Finland in a seven-goal thriller that went all the way to penalty shots.

GB came from 3-0 down to score three third-period goals through Robert Dowd (52:51), Brett Perlini (53:29) and Mark Richardson (56:09).

There were no goals in overtime and Norway secured the extra point following a penalty shootout to secure a 4-3 victory.
