Great Britain have travelled to Aalborg in Denmark today (Tuesday) ahead of this weekend’s men’s Olympic Qualifiers.

The GB players and staff left Heathrow this lunchtime and arrived at their home for the weekend, the Gigantium Ice Arena, this evening.

After a quick look around the rink and to offload the bags to the dressing room, it was a short trip to the hotel to check-in.

The players and staff had their evening meal and then Equipment Managers Steve Small and Anthony Pountney returned to the rink to set the room up ready for first practice.

GB, who completed their training camp in Cardiff last weekend, hit the ice in Denmark for the first time tomorrow lunchtime to prepare for Thursday’s opening game against the hosts.

Pete Russell’s side also face Norway and Japan in Group F with the group winners qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

All of GB’s games will be shown live on Premier Sports with commentary from Olympic commentator Aaron Murphy and former GB forward Paul Adey.
