Great Britain beat China 6-0 in a warm-up game ahead of the men’s Under-20 World Championship Division II Group A which gets under way on Monday.

GB scored three goals in 104 seconds to storm into a 3-0 lead through Torran Anderson (7:26), Ethan Hadden (8:18) and Josh Shaw (9:10).

Seb Mohr made it four (17:47) to give GB a commanding lead at the first intermission.

Sam Lyne increased the lead to 5-0 in the second period (29:09) and scored his second early in the third session to complete the scoring (40:20).

Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “Today was a good workout for the group especially after a long travel day yesterday, but we wanted to get playing and test ourselves straightaway.

“We did lots of good things in the game and that was pleasing, but we also know we have to be better in certain areas.

“We will get to work on that but it’s always nice to win and we will build on this.”

GB face hosts Croatia, along with China, Lithuania, Netherlands and Romania, in the six-team tournament from 6th to 12th January.

Matches are taking place at the 850-seater Admiral Ice Dome.
