GB Futures completed the Under-16 Boys Four Nations in Tallinn with an excellent 3-1 victory over Hungary.
Freddie Cole started between the pipes for GB with Joel Munroe as back-up.
Ádám Rózsa put Hungary ahead (08:59) before Tom Hayman fed Cooper Pearman to equalise on a breakaway. (23:43).
GB went ahead when Ollie Brown started the move in his own zone before Jack Williams superbly took the puck coast-to-coast to set-up Dylan Ferguson who scored a beauty of a wrist-shot from the high-slot (40:43).
Strong work from Ryan Venters found Murray Johnston to score into the empty net to secure the win (59:28).
GB Futures Head Coach, Euan King, said: “It was a good end to the tournament. We challenged them to show what it takes to represent GB and play in an international tournament – and they responded well.
“This isn’t about wins and losses, it’s about educating what it takes to become a real hockey player and what it takes to represent your country.
“They showed good character today and got the win they deserved. This is only the beginning of their journey with GB.
“My biggest hope is off-the-ice the GB culture and the standards they need to set to be a GB player are carried forward.”
