Great Britain have named their roster for next month’s Women’s European Cup of Nations in Sosnowiec.
GB will face hosts Poland, along with Slovenia and Spain, at the Arcelor Mittal Park sports complex.
The four-team tournament will take place from 15th to 17th October 2026.
Five players receive a call-up the senior squad for the first time – netminder Lucy Holliday, Megan Burton and Ameilia Williams on defence, and forwards Nora Egri and Milly Thulbourne.
GB Head Coach, Beth Hanrahan, said: “These games are extremely important for the continued development of women’s hockey in Great Britain, but they’re also an important part of our preparation for the World Championship.
“Taking this squad to Poland allows us to assess where we need to develop, test different combinations and, importantly, continue providing valuable opportunities for our younger players.
“It’s also a great opportunity for our more experienced players to step up, lead the group and share their knowledge. These experiences are invaluable as we continue to build the next generation of Great Britain players, while ensuring the whole group is gaining the experience and understanding we need heading into Worlds.
“Ultimately, these games give us a valuable opportunity to compete, develop and continue building towards the World Championship, while representing what Great Britain Hockey is all about.”
Hanrahan is unable to travel with the team so the coaching staff will be led by Head Coach Reg Wilcox, working alongside Assistant Coaches Rob Lamey and Dave Clancy, and National Teams Programme Director Jonathan Phillips.
“Reg will step in to lead the side in Poland with Beth unavailable but she will still be working closely with us,” said Phillips.
“The team came so close to a gold medal earlier this year with a fantastic silver. With the next World Championship not until November next year, we have a great amount of preparation.
“I am excited to work with the women as part of the national team programme. The passion, dedication and commitment that these players show is unreal.
“We want every coach, player, staff member, parent or supporter to know exactly what’s expected of a GB player – how they act, how they prepare, mentally and physically. The whole programme is under one umbrella and we will align the culture from top down. The culture is such an important part of the GB programme.”

Reserves – Netminder: Ella Howard. Defence: Amy Robery. Forwards: Abi Culshaw, Peyton Fincher, Ellie Wallace.
