Great Britain have named their squad for January’s Under-18 Women’s World Championship in Riga.

GB will face hosts Latvia, as well as Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, Netherlands and New Zealand, in the Division II Group A tournament.

The six-team group will run from 20th to 26th January 2025 at the Volvo Sportcenter.

GB start the tournament against Kazakhstan on Monday 20th January, followed by a match-up against the Netherlands on Tuesday 21st January.

Britain against New Zealand takes place on Thursday 23rd January in between the tournament’s two rest days.

The final two fixtures are against Latvia on Saturday 25th January and Chinese Taipei on Sunday 26th January.

GB won a silver medal at last year’s tournament in Heerenveen in the Netherlands.

The GB youngsters secured victories over Kazakhstan (4-0), Netherlands (4-0), Latvia (3-1) and Turkey (9-0).

The only defeat came at the hands of China who were promoted last season to Division I.
