Great Britain have named their team for the Women’s World Championship Division I Group B in Dumfries.

The six-team tournament takes place at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Scotland from 9th to 15th April.

Twenty-one players have been selected for the initial roster and one player will be added from the NextGen programme.

Andrew Partridge, Head of Performance, said: “We are excited to officially launch the Women’s NextGen programme and to build upon the success of the under-18s programme.

“The NextGen’s purpose is to support the transition of potential GB players into the senior squad in the build-up to 2030 Olympic Qualification.”

GB will face Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Korea and Slovenia in Dumfries from 9th to 15th April, with the winners being promoted to the second tier.

Partridge added: “We are thrilled to be able to take advantage of a home World Championship and offer development opportunities to athletes within the programme.

“These experiences will support the development of the wider squad and put us in the best place possible to achieve our 2030 ambitions.”
