Great Britain start their preparations for the 2025 World Championship with this weekend’s under-20s Watersley International Ice Hockey Tournament at the Glanerbrook Ice Rink in the Netherlands.

GB face Belgium U20s on Friday (11:30 BST), Kölner Haie U20s on Saturday night (19:30 BST) and hosts Netherlands U20s on Sunday lunchtime (13:00 BST).

The team arrived in Geleen on Wednesday and had their first on-ice session on Thursday at the rink ahead of the tournament getting under way.

Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “We are looking forward to getting started against Belgium after a travel day and day of video, team building and practice.

“We have been busy trying to make sure the players know how we want to play and that we improve every time we hit the ice.

“The Belgian game will allow us to see where we are in a game situation. The players are excited and looking forward to getting started.”
