Great Britain will take part in the Women’s Four Nations in Esbjerg next month.
GB will go head-to-head with hosts Denmark as well as Italy and Poland at the Granly Arena from 8th to 10th February.
The tournament forms part of preparations for the Women’s World Championship Division I Group B in Latvia, which gets under way in March with Italy and Poland also in the same group.
Denmark are ranked 11th in the world and last year were promoted to the top division of the World Championship.
Mike Clancy’s side start next month’s Four Nations against Italy on Thursday 8th February before facing Poland the following day, Friday 9th February.
GB complete the four-team tournament against Denmark at lunchtime on Saturday 10th February.
Clancy said: “We are excited to take part in the Four Nations and it will be excellent preparation for the World Championship.
“They are sure to be three great match-ups and it’s particularly exciting to see how we will fare against Denmark, who will play in the top division this season.”
Ice Hockey UK Chief Executive, Henry Staelens, said: “I am really proud of this group, both the players and staff, for how they have prepared for the upcoming period.
“It’s sure to be an exciting few months.”
