Great Britain Under-18 Men will play France twice next month in Sheffield as part of their preparations for next year’s World Championship in Poland.
GB and France will go head-to-head at iceSheffield on Thursday 14th December (3pm face-off) and Friday 15th December (2pm). Entrance will be free.
U18 Team Manager, Russell Huxted, said: “This is great preparation for us and will give us two tough games against a team one division higher than us in the World Championship structure.
“We believe this is a big step forward in preparing us for our World Championship tournament in Poland next April.
“Having these competitive games will allow the coaching staff to see all of our prospect players play together as we get closer to selecting our final team for Poland.
“I’d like to thank France for agreeing to commit to this event, Ice Sheffield for making this possible at short notice and everyone who has worked hard to make this happen.”
GB Under-18 Men are off to Sosnowiec for the World Championship Division II Group A from 17th to 23rd April 2024.
Croatia, Romania and Serbia are also part of the six-team group, as well as promoted Netherlands and relegated Poland.
