Great Britain were beaten 3-2 by Poland after overtime in game one of a two-match women’s challenge series at the Lee Valley Ice Centre.
The two matches form part of GB’s preparations for next month’s Olympic Qualifiers at iceSheffield.
Wiktoria Sikorska put Poland ahead on the powerplay (09:41) before GB equalised through Emily Harris (14:22).
Beth Hill scored on the powerplay as GB went in-front (24:55), but Karolina Pozniewska’s goal sent the game to overtime (53:21).
Klaudia Chrapek’s scored the game-winning goal for Poland in the extra period (60:24).
The two sides meet again tomorrow (Saturday) with a 14:30 face-off.
