Great Britain began their men’s Under-18s World Championship Division II Group A campaign in Asiago with an impressive 3-0 victory over Croatia.

Netminder Ben Clarke-Leach secured a 28-shot shutout as GB secured three points on day one.

After a scoreless first period, Marcus Bradley put GB ahead just past the midway point of the second session, assisted by Ricards Misins and Jonas Bennett (31:59).

Robbie Henderson set-up Brynley Capps to score short-handed (49:13) as GB took a two-goal lead to the second intermission.

GB sealed the win when Louie Kynaston fed Daragh Spawforth to score into an empty-net with the netminder lifted for an extra skater (56:40).

Gameday two is tomorrow (Monday) as GB face Netherlands at 16:30 (15:30 BST)
