Former Great Britain forward Jim Pennycook has been inducted into the UK Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
Following the earlier announcements of Jonathan Weaver and Gary Moran, Pennycook becomes the third and final inductee for 2024.
Pennycook will receive a framed certificate to honour his induction ahead of the Elite League game between Fife Flyers and Dundee Stars on Sunday.
His career spanned nearly two decades and his contributions on the ice left an indelible mark on British hockey.
It all began in the early 1980s with the Murrayfield Racers and Dundee Rockets in the British Hockey League (BHL).
Jim was snapped up by Fife for the 1984-85 campaign and appeared in his second British final, this time at Wembley Arena.
Coached by Canadian Ron Plumb, the import-heavy Flyers overwhelmed his old club Murrayfield, 9-4, with Pennycook scoring their final marker.
Later in his career, Pennycook iced for Tayside, Solihull, Telford, Bracknell, Teeside, Trafford, Blackburn and Lancashire.
In total, he won six national championships, two British and three regional league titles
First selected for the Great Britain in 1977 when he was 20, Pennycook went on to pick up 23 caps, scoring a creditable 19 points (10 goals and nine assists), playing in four World Championship tournaments.
