Great Britain and Ice Hockey UK would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Alex Graham who passed away at the weekend.

Alex played for both Great Britain Under-18s and Under-20s and the news has come as a huge shock to everyone in UK ice hockey, including all of his team-mates.

This is a difficult time for so many people and our thoughts are with everyone affected by this devastating news.

Graham made his GB debut as a junior at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship Division I Group B in Hungary, scoring seven points (2+5) in five matches.

He was part of Britain’s silver medal-winning team at the 2020 Under-20 World Championship Division II Group A in Lithuania with four goals and three assists for seven points.

In 2022, he scored six points (3+3) as GB won a bronze medal at the U20 World Championship Division II Group A in Romania.

It would be appreciated if Alex’s family could be provided time and space to take in the enormity of this tragic situation in the days ahead.

Rest in peace Alex.
