GREAT BRITAIN 10-1 CHINESE TAIPEI

Great Britain beat Chinese Taipei 10-1 in a warm-up game ahead of the U18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A in Riga.

Ruby Newlands (10:27), Emma Lamberton (10:40) and Lydia Lutwyche (12:21) gave GB a three-goal lead, before Yen Wei Lini closed the gap (16:18).

GB scored six times in the second period through Ellie Shaw (20:30), Cassie McGregor (27:46), Alisha Potts (29:19), Rebecca Voslinsky (32:10), Grace Cooper (34:09) and Lutwyche with her second of the night (37:54).

Izzy Bennett (41:17) netted in the third period to complete the scoring.

Netminders Lucy Holliday and Alisha O’Doherty shared half the game each between the pipes.

GB begin their Under-18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A campaign in Latvia on Monday against Kazakhstan at 16:00 (14:00 GMT).
