Defenceman Mark Richardson says team spirit will be key as Great Britain prepare for the World Championship which begins on Saturday against Canada in Czechia.
GB arrived in Prague on Wednesday and had their first training session on Thursday in the impressive 17,383-seater 02 Arena.
The team skate again on Friday morning as part of their final preparations for the world’s number one ranked side.
Richardson, who is set to win his 109th cap on Saturday, said: “It’s key for us to stick together. The experience we’ve had at these tournaments in the past will be vital. They’re very tough.
“We play such good teams and will look to build on every game, focus on the performance and set ourselves up so at the end of the tournament we are playing our best hockey.
“It will help that some guys have played at this level before, but it’s also great to have the new addition and fresh faces.
“Having a core of guys together who have been here before is obviously going to help.
“It’s such an experience and for some of us to be here for a fourth time, it’s still as exciting as ever.”
