Great Britain beat Romania 3-0 to set-up a gold-medal showdown with hosts Italy on Saturday at the men’s Under-18 World Championship Division II Group A in Asiago.

It’s now four wins from four for GB and no goals conceded so far after victories earlier in the tournament against Croatia (3-0), Netherlands (1-0) and China (3-0).

Ben Clarke-Leach turned away all 33 shots he faced to secure his second shutout of the week.

A superb interchange of passing by Louie Kynaston and Daragh Spawforth set-up Joe Tomalin to put GB ahead from the slot (39:34).

Bailey Yates buried the puck past Calin Mardale from close-range on the powerplay (41:20) and Noah Kaariainen fed Ricards Misins in the slot who went top-shelf for GB’s third (55:04).
