The year’s UK edition of the IIHF’s Global Girls’ Game took place at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham today.
Twenty-eight players took part in a one-hour training session in the morning, which was followed by the game which counted towards the worldwide running total.
From New Zealand to Asia, Europe and the Americas, this festival of girls’ hockey sees Team Blue and Team White battle it out in a weekend-long game across the world.
In the UK, Team White (wearing red) beat Team Blue 7-4 in an exciting game on the Motorpoint Arena icepad.
