Great Britain and Spain drew 1-1 in the second game of the two-match under-18 women’s series at Dumfries Ice Bowl.

The original three-match series was shortened to two games because of travel problems for Spain earlier in the week.

After GB won 1-0 in the first match on Wednesday, the honours were shared in game two.

Lydia Lutwyche put GB ahead with a powerplay goal in the first period (8:08).

Spain’s equaliser also came with a player advantage with Lidia Romero on target in the third period (49:32).

GB now continue their preparations for the IIHF Under 18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A in Riga.

The six-team tournament runs from 13th to 19th January 2025.

GB will face hosts Latvia as well as Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, Netherlands and New Zealand.
