GB Futures beat Estonia 10-5 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in a warm-up game ahead of the Under-16s Boys Four Nations tournament in Tallinn.
Netminders Joel Munroe and Freddie Cole played half a game each as GB produced an excellent performance.
Jaiden Martin and Ryan Venters gave GB a two-goal lead after the first period.
The second session was much tighter but goals from Rory Hill and Austin Slater ensured GB led 4-2 at the second intermission.
In the third session, Dylan Ferguson and Jack Williams both scored twice, Venters completed his double, while Murray Johnston was also on target.
GB Futures Head Coach, Euan King, said: “It was a good start for the players who battled and competed hard, were tenacious off the puck and on the forecheck.
“They created a lot of scoring opportunities which they were clinical with. They played hard but their discipline and commitment to playing the game the right way was a major positive for us moving forward.
“It’s a good start against a good Estonian team. However, we are under no illusions that Estonia will be strong by the time the tournament starts – as well as the other teams – so they have to be prepared to continue to raise their levels as the week progresses.
“It’s been a good two days so far, a lot of education for the players off the ice as well, as on the ice on how to carry themselves, act and behave as professional young athletes which is the main focus and objectives from this team and project.”
GB will practice tomorrow before playing their first game of the tournament against Hungary on Thursday.
