Great Britain produced a superb battling performance in their 3-2 defeat by hosts Denmark in the Four Nations.

Denmark are ranked 11th in the world and last year were promoted to the top division of the World Championship.

Olivia Ranum put the hosts into an early lead before Katie Marsden stole the puck on the blueline and sped away to score GB’s equaliser (7:25).

Julie Oksbjerg put Denmark 2-1 ahead (22:20) and Lilli Pearl Friis-Hansen scored the third just over two minutes later (24:53).

Jodie Alderson-Smith scored on her backhand to close the gap to one (46:28).

GB lifted Nicole Jackson for the extra skater but were unable to find an equaliser.
