Great Britain face Latvia this afternoon in their opening game at the women’s Olympic Qualifiers at the Bauer Arena in iceSheffield.
It’s a huge day for GB as their begin their quest to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
It’s the second of two games today with Netherlands against Spain facing-off at 12:30.
Team News
GB expect to ice a fully-fit 22-player roster which will include three debutants.
Emma Nichols, Madison Wright and Robin Mullen are all set to win their debut cap.
Forward Katherine Gale is poised to win her 50th cap.
Recent Meetings
GB and Latvia have met twice in the past three years.
Latvia won 2-1 in last year’s World Championship in Riga with Lizzie Saunders and Katie Marsden on target for GB.
GB beat Latvia 4-0 to secure gold in the 2022 World Championship Division II Group A in Jaca, Spain.
Katie Henry, Katherine Gale, Emily Harris and Louise Adams were all on target, with Nicole Jackson securing a 22-shot shutout.

Admission is via Day Tickets which covers two matches a day and costs just £15 (plus fees) for adults.
Concession tickets (over-65s and under-16s) are on sale for only £8 (plus fees).
